Back from the Gold Coast

I am back from the Gold Coast where I thorouly enjoyed myself! The show was great and I always have a ball teaching workshops. It was fantastic to catch up with so many traders, collectors and bear makers, and I had many chats. I would like to thank Patti, Graham and Kryst from Kympatti Bears for organising a wonderful show.

I arrived home with a cold - the nose is running champion style. I'm now designing and making bears for the Swiss Teddy Festival and Hugglets. Only seven weeks and I will be on the plane to Switzerland - time flys, when one has fun!!!

I have also up-dated my website - why not enjoy a cuppa and have a look.

Introducing "Boston"

I would like to introduce "Boston". He is one of the new bears I will be taking to the International Bear, Doll and Craft Fair, which his being held at the Convention & Entertainment Centre, Broadbeach on 12/13th June 2010. If you will be attending this show I would love to say hello and have a chat. Maybe I will see you in my workshops on 14th and 15th after the show.

The ACD Awards

This is NEPOMUK - the little dragon I designed for the ACD Awards. Public voting is now on and he would love to get your vote. I usually don't design Fantasie pieces but I believe he turned out really cute. Nepomuk is also available for adoption. The National Teddy Bear Artists Awards

I am thrilled to announce that Petal and Harrison have each won first prize in their category at The National Teddy Bear Artists Awards held at Minstead UK on 22nd May 2010. Both bears will now travel to Switzerland and will be on show with their rosettes and certificates and available for adoption at the Swiss Teddy Festival on 28/29th August 2010 in Zurich/Switzerland.

News-update

I am pleased to advise that all sculpey bears have found homes. I am madly designing and making new bears for the Show at the GoldCoast on 12/13th June. Time is flying and I better get back to work. My workshops for this show are filling too so if you would like to come and either make Misty or MonCherie with me please book soon as there is pre-sewing to be done. Little sculpey bears for Mother's Day!

I had lots of fun playing with sculpey (clay) and shaping little bears holding flower buds. The have glass eyes and come in different colours. These little fellows will travel in nice gift boxes and if you adopt more than one the postage will reduce accordingly. There are only 14 of them and they will not be repeated! So, FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED!!! They are available in the catalogue/giftware section on my website. I'm sure every mother would love one of these cute fellows and if you are not a mother, treat yourselves anyway. They are available from my website or if you live in Perth call me to make an appointment to drop in and pick-up one or two.

3-day Craft Show on 24th-26th April 2010

I am looking forward to the Treasured Craft Creations' Show which will be on for 3 days this Saturday, 24th April till Monday, 26th April. The show is at Claremont Showgrounds, Claremont / Perth WA / Australia and opening hours are Saturday and Monday 9.30am to 4.30pm and Sunday 12pm to 5pm.
