Introducing Sandi

I would like to introduce Sandi, my latest design. She is an OOAK in a series and so cute with her wobbly head. She fits comfortably into your palm and is a great addition to any bearhug. Sandi is now on my website for adoption.

Only 3 more weeks and I will be in Brisbane at the Teddy Bear Fair held at the Holiday Inn on 18th September. I'm also looking forward to teaching YumCha in my workshop on 19th September at Kympatti Bears Studio, Broadbeach Waters.

There are still some places for the workshop and I would love to have you there.

Introducing Lucy the raccoon

Due to popular demand I have created another raccoon. Even though these critters are an open edition, every one of them has slightly different markings. They measure 11cm and their tail is bendable to achieve different looks. More details are on my website. These raccoons adopt quickly so if Lucy is tugging on your heart strings, don't leave it too long.....

Introducing YumCha

I am proud to introduce YumCha to you! He is my workshop bear for 19th September at Kympatti Bears, Broadbeach Waters QLD. I had so much fun making this gorgeous panda, playing with new eyelids and a new technique to embroider noses showing nostrils.

Slowly but surely......

Hello everyone,

I do apologize for not having written so long!!!

My bears and I had a wonderful time at the Gold Coast International Teddy Bear Fair and I enjoyed teaching my workshop at Kympatti Bear Studio. It was lovely to catch up with so many traders, bear makers and collectors!

On my way home, I got delayed because of the vulcanic ash blowing in from Chile. I was put-up in a great hotel all paid for by the airline and got home a day late.

Unfortunately, 3 days later I was in bed with the flu!!! And there I stayed for 3 1/2 weeks!!! I am slowly getting my life back trying to catch up with everything and getting back to normal.

I am in the process of making the workshop bear for 19th September at Kympatti Bear Studio. It is a beautiful panda and I can't wait to have him finished so I can show him to you all. Just bear with me for a few more days.....

Not long now

Only a few more sleeps and my bears and I will be heading for the Gold Coast. It promises to be a great show and there are still some places available for my workshops on 13th and 14th June at Kympatti Studio. Icedor and Mungo are great bears to make and include wonderful techniques to be learned. More details are available on my website.

Show and workshops

This Sunday I will be teaching a workshop at my studio in South Perth. I am looking forward to it, the creations are wonderful and it amazes me everytime how different my patterns will turn out with a little bit of imagination.

Thursday next week my bears and I will be heading for the Gold Coast to exhibit at the International Teddy Bear Fair at the Convention Centre, Broadbeach on 11/12 June. This promises to be a great show again and I always love the workshops in the week after the show that Kympatti Studio. This year I will be teaching Icedor and Mungo on 14/15th June, two wonderful bears with lots of techniques to be learned. It is not too late to book a place. Go to my website for furtheer details.

Bears in memory of loved ones

When asked to design and create bears in memory of a beloved grandad I was not at all sure what to do as this is not usually what I do. With guidance by my client we ended up with these lovely bears made from grandad's jackets. What a wonderful thing to do and I am so honoured having been able to make them.
