Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year

The year is coming to an end and I have been so busy training for the annual dance show I was participating in that the bears went into hibernation for a while. The show was a great success and I just loved to perform with the Argentine Tango and West Coast Swing Team at the Juan Rando Dance Academy Annual Show.
For 2012 I will take it a bit slower with my bears and as I will be going back home to Switzerland for 6 weeks I will also be attending less shows. Nonetheless, there will still be workshops at my studio every second Sunday and I will be exhibiting in Sydney and Woodend/Melbourne. All my bears will also be available from my website any time.
I would like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and the best for 2012 and thank you so much for all the support this past year.

Woodend Teddy Bear Show

Hello, my bears and I are looking forward to a few days of relaxation and shopping therapy in Melbourne before driving to Woodend for the Teddy Bear Show on Sunday, 30th October. My life is so hectic at the moment that I cannot wait for a few days off. I'm looking forward to catching up with traders and collectors. So, if you are coming to Woodend, make sure to say hello.

Introducing Honey

Brisbane Teddy Bear Fair

I've just finished the sewing the last bear for the Brisbane Teddy Bear Fair held at the Holiday Inn, Roma Street, Brisbane QLD / Australia on 18th September 2011 from 10am to 4pm.
My bears and I can't wait to board the plan next Saturday for Brisbane and hopefully will be able to catch-up with many of you.

Introducing Sandi

I would like to introduce Sandi, my latest design. She is an OOAK in a series and so cute with her wobbly head. She fits comfortably into your palm and is a great addition to any bearhug. Sandi is now on my website for adoption.

Only 3 more weeks and I will be in Brisbane at the Teddy Bear Fair held at the Holiday Inn on 18th September. I'm also looking forward to teaching YumCha in my workshop on 19th September at Kympatti Bears Studio, Broadbeach Waters.

There are still some places for the workshop and I would love to have you there.

Introducing Lucy the raccoon

Due to popular demand I have created another raccoon. Even though these critters are an open edition, every one of them has slightly different markings. They measure 11cm and their tail is bendable to achieve different looks. More details are on my website. These raccoons adopt quickly so if Lucy is tugging on your heart strings, don't leave it too long.....

Introducing YumCha

I am proud to introduce YumCha to you! He is my workshop bear for 19th September at Kympatti Bears, Broadbeach Waters QLD. I had so much fun making this gorgeous panda, playing with new eyelids and a new technique to embroider noses showing nostrils.

Slowly but surely......

Hello everyone,

I do apologize for not having written so long!!!

My bears and I had a wonderful time at the Gold Coast International Teddy Bear Fair and I enjoyed teaching my workshop at Kympatti Bear Studio. It was lovely to catch up with so many traders, bear makers and collectors!

On my way home, I got delayed because of the vulcanic ash blowing in from Chile. I was put-up in a great hotel all paid for by the airline and got home a day late.

Unfortunately, 3 days later I was in bed with the flu!!! And there I stayed for 3 1/2 weeks!!! I am slowly getting my life back trying to catch up with everything and getting back to normal.

I am in the process of making the workshop bear for 19th September at Kympatti Bear Studio. It is a beautiful panda and I can't wait to have him finished so I can show him to you all. Just bear with me for a few more days.....

Not long now

Only a few more sleeps and my bears and I will be heading for the Gold Coast. It promises to be a great show and there are still some places available for my workshops on 13th and 14th June at Kympatti Studio. Show and workshops

This Sunday I will be teaching a workshop at my studio in South Perth. I am looking forward to it, the creations are wonderful and it amazes me everytime how different my patterns will turn out with a little bit of imagination.

Thursday next week my bears and I will be heading for the Gold Coast to exhibit at the International Teddy Bear Fair at the Convention Centre, Broadbeach on 11/12 June. This promises to be a great show again and I always love the workshops in the week after the show that Kympatti Studio. This year I will be teaching Icedor and Mungo on 14/15th June, two wonderful bears with lots of techniques to be learned. It is not too late to book a place. Go to my website for furtheer details.

Bears in memory of loved ones

When asked to design and create bears in memory of a beloved grandad I was not at all sure what to do as this is not usually what I do. With guidance by my client we ended up with these lovely bears made from grandad's jackets. What a wonderful thing to do and I am so honoured having been able to make them.

I'm back

I'm back in Perth again. The show at Berwick was great. I really enjoyed catching up with traders, collectors and bearmakers. I just loved, loved, loved my three days in Melbourne!!! Melbourne reminded me of Zurich/Switzerland (where I was born). The hustle and bustle, the trams and all the shops!!!! It was great!!! I sent a SMS home saying: OMG, I'm in heaven: good food, great coffee and shops after shops after shops! No wonder my hubby got a bit worried..... As it turned out I was a good girl and mostly did window-shopping. I even managed to get a new outlet for my bears. The Teddy Bear Shop at Galleria in Melbourne is now selling my bears. I reckon, I deserved a bit of shopping myself. I will definitely go to Melbourne again! Just loved it!

Introducing Coco-Belle

My bags are almost packed and I am getting ready for my trip to Melbourne tomorrow. Coco-Belle will be travelling with me to the show at Berwick on 1st May. She is an OOAK/series and so cute with her wobbly head. She fits comfortably into your palm and is a great addition to any bearhug.

What a joy!

Who will join me???

I will be teaching 2 workshops on Wednesday 13th and 20th April from 11am to 2pm as well as the workshop on Sunday, 17th April from 9.30am to 4pm at my studio in South Perth. You can make any bear from my patterns. Who will be coming along and have fun while creating a bear???

Introducing Bonito

My bears and I are back from Sydney - still a bit tired - but getting there. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed catching up with many people, collectors as well as traders. I spent a wonderful day with Melissa at her shop The Art of Teddy Bears arranging all the bears back into the show windows and helping to put the shop back in order. Thanks Melissa for a wonderful show and a great time.

I would like to introduce Bonito. I will be teaching him at Teddy's Bits, Castle Hill on 14/15th May. He stayed in Sydney and is sitting at Teddy's Bits to be admired. I am looking forward to having you in my class.

The Sydney Teddy Bear Show & Workshops

The Sydney Teddy Bear Show & Workshops

Workshop in Sydney on 7th March 2011

I have been quite busy finishing my bears for the "Be My Valentine" Online Show and also creating the new workshop bears for 2011. Mungo is one of my workshop bears for 2011 and I will be teaching him and Misty in Sydney on 7th March 2011. For more details and to book your place go to my website.

The fortnightly workshops at my studio in South Perth have also started. They are $90.00 per day or $220.00 for 3 workshops, which is a saving of $50.00!
