Workshops in 2011

I will be teaching workshops at my studio in South Perth / Western Australia every second Sunday starting on 16th January 2011. 24 hours Online Show

We are back in Perth again after a wonderful show at Woodend and a couple of days driving in Victoria. It was a shock coming from 16 degrees and rain to 36 degrees and sun! The next show is only a day away and I hope many of you will be able to join us at the "Magical World of Teddy Bear" Online Show this weekend. Woodend Teddy Bear Show

Tonight, Lance and I will be spending on a plane due to arrive in Melbourne at 5.30am, Perth time 2.30am. Alas, no sleep and I am happy that I won't be the one doing the driving to Woodend. 3rd Bear in Christmas series

The 3rd and last bear in my Christmas series is finished. He is just adorable!! Create your own Christmas decoration by choosing the bear and the colour of the Christmas ball. Up-coming shows and Christmas bears

I have been very busy and in two weeks my bears and I will be exhibiting at the Woodend Teddy Bear Show. My Christmas Bears will be available at this show and what nicer way than embellishing your Christmas tree with one of these cute fellows hanging on to a Christmas ball. There are three different bears available with three colours of Christmas balls to choose from. I will only have one of each at the show but if you order and pay at the show I will not charge for postage to your home. You can also email me for your order. Please order early as I will only have time for a limited number of bears to be ready for Christmas. This is the first of this adorable bears. For more info please go to my website. I'm home again

I'm home again from 5 weeks travel and slowly I am getting settled again. I've been back 10 days already but after the office there is always lots to organise. My bears and I had a ball!!!! It was lovely seeing my family and friends again and the show in Switzerland as well as the workshop was a great success. I made many new friends which I am looking forward to keep in contact.

I loved London and only wished I had more days to do sightseeing. I visited my bears at Teddy Bears of Witney (photo will follow as soon as I will be more organised). Hugglets was great, also not as successful as the Teddy Bear Festival in Switzerland for me.

My bears have found new homes in Switzerland, France, and Scotland and the whole trip was just fantastic.

I am finishing the bears for Witney at the moment and after that I will design and make a bear for the Online Show on 6/7th November. After that I will have to get my act together and make bears for Woodend. I am looking forward to seeing many of you at this exciting show. This will be the first time for me at Woodend and I cannot wait!!!

Hugglets on 12th September 2010

My bears and I are having a wonderful time in Switzerland. The Swiss Teddy Festival and "Misty" workshop were a big success and many bears/critters have found homes all around Europe. On Thursday we will be travelling to London/UK to do some sightseeing and exhibit at Hugglets on 12th September. Anybody visiting this show come and say hello - we will be at stall 49 in hall 1.

Trip to Europe

Tomorrow, my bears and I will be off to Switzerland for a holiday and the Swiss Teddy Bear Festival on 28/29th August as well as Hugglets in London/UK on 12th September. We are so excited and are looking forward to meeting lots of new collectors and traders. If you will be at these shows please come and say hello. I will have new bears with me which are not yet listed on my website. I am also looking forward to teaching my workshop on 27th August in Zuerich/Switzerland.

I won't have regular internet access but hope to catch up very soon.

New Outlet in Sydney

My bears/critters will be available in Sydney in the fur! I am so excited!!! The Art of Teddy Bears is a new shop opening in Sydney on 27th July 2010 and I have a cubby space where my bears/critters will be available for adoption. Back from the Gold Coast

I am back from the Gold Coast where I thorouly enjoyed myself! The show was great and I always have a ball teaching workshops. It was fantastic to catch up with so many traders, collectors and bear makers, and I had many chats. I would like to thank Patti, Graham and Kryst from Kympatti Bears for organising a wonderful show.

I arrived home with a cold - the nose is running champion style. I'm now designing and making bears for the Swiss Teddy Festival and Hugglets. Only seven weeks and I will be on the plane to Switzerland - time flys, when one has fun!!!

I have also up-dated my website - why not enjoy a cuppa and have a look.

Introducing "Boston"

I would like to introduce "Boston". He is one of the new bears I will be taking to the International Bear, Doll and Craft Fair, which his being held at the Convention & Entertainment Centre, Broadbeach on 12/13th June 2010. The ACD Awards

The National Teddy Bear Artists Awards

I am thrilled to announce that Petal and Harrison have each won first prize in their category at The National Teddy Bear Artists Awards held at Minstead UK on 22nd May 2010. Both bears will now travel to Switzerland and will be on show with their rosettes and certificates and available for adoption at the Swiss Teddy Festival on 28/29th August 2010 in Zurich/Switzerland.

I am pleased to advise that all sculpey bears have found homes. I am madly designing and making new bears for the Show at the GoldCoast on 12/13th June. Time is flying and I better get back to work. My workshops for this show are filling too so if you would like to come and either make Misty or MonCherie with me please book soon as there is pre-sewing to be done. Little sculpey bears for Mother's Day!

I had lots of fun playing with sculpey (clay) and shaping little bears holding flower buds. The have glass eyes and come in different colours. These little fellows will travel in nice gift boxes and if you adopt more than one the postage will reduce accordingly. There are only 14 of them and they will not be repeated! So, FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED!!! They are available in the catalogue/giftware section on my website. I'm sure every mother would love one of these cute fellows and if you are not a mother, treat yourselves anyway. 3-day Craft Show on 24th-26th April 2010

I am looking forward to the Treasured Craft Creations' Show which will be on for 3 days this Saturday, 24th April till Monday, 26th April. The show is at Claremont Showgrounds, Claremont / Perth WA / Australia and opening hours are Saturday and Monday 9.30am to 4.30pm and Sunday 12pm to 5pm. ACD Awards

I had a wonderful time in Adelaide teaching workshops and all the bears/cats/raccoons turned out beautifully! I just got off the plane in Perth and arrived home when the storm and the hail started. Boy, was I glad I was not on that plane anymore!!!! We were lucky and apart from a broken branch that flattened a few plants in the backyard do not have any other storm damage. So, after all this excitement I had another workshop at my studio and approx. 4 days to create my ACD Award Critter. This required thinking outside the box as fantasie is not usually my thing. But I love my creation!!!! I hope you will too - unfortunately, you have to wait till June to see it... For more information click on the logo on the right.

Time is flying by

My god, it is already a week since the Sydney Teddy Bear Fair - I really don't know what happened to the time. I had a ball at the show and many bears have found new homes. Hendrix and Melyna were especially thrilled as they went on a trip to Singapore! All in all, a very successful show and I really enjoyed catching up with everybody - traders and collectors alike! On my way home I was stranded at Sydney airport due to the storms in Melbourne. I can now truly say that I know the airport as I had a 6 hours stay there.

The organisation for the workshop in Switzerland is now in full swing and I am so excited about it. You will also notice that the bears will slightly change again. I have something in mind but you have to wait and see.

I have also just finished the new designs for Teddy Bears of Witney 2011 and I am in the process of designing and making an exclusive critter for the ACD Awards in June.

More news to be revealed shortly - so stay tuned.

Hello everyone,

I have been very busy getting ready for the Sydney Teddybear Fair on 7th March 2010. This will be a very quick visit for me, flying in on the Saturday and flying back on Sunday night. I am looking forward to talking to many of you - so come and say hello!

The year 2010 will be a very busy year for me. I have just started a new office job and my bears and I have lots of travelling planned throughout the year. We will be exhibiting in Adelaide, Perth, Sydney, Gold Coast, Switzerland, and England and lots of workshops are also planned at these locations.

I have been busy designing workshop bears for 2010 as well as three exclusive creations for the "Be My Valentine" Show which will be online for 24 hours on 13/14th February 2010. A Sneak Peek of these Show bears will be available next week.
